Retreats

Student Ministry is about:
  • having a relationship with Christ
  • a willingness to share your faith with other teens
  • consistent commitment to meetings
  • a commitment to daily prayer
  • a lifestyle free from serious wrong-doing
  • Student Ministers are not perfect people but they are leaders. With that leadership comes a responsibility to be a consistent role model. Peer Ministers refrain from the use of alcohol, drugs, sex, profanity, negative talk and gossip
  • supporting the mission of St. Francis High School in word and deed
Our patron, St. Francis of Assisi, saw the face of God in the people around him. It is our hope that as St. Francis High School students reach out and accompany others in service, they experience self-discovery, growth, and a deepening faith. By completing 60 service hours prior to graduation, we hope that students will make Christian service to others, especially those in need, the very foundation of their lives. The Pastoral Ministry Department at St. Francis High School encourages the community’s faith experience through a variety of retreats. In cooperation with the Religion Department, retreats are an opportunity for students to grow in their relationship with God and one another. The required three-year program and a highly recommended and attended fourth year Kairos retreat complement the Religion curriculum and encourage the spiritual formation of students as they grow in mind, body and spirit.
