For nearly 65 years, St. Francis High School has provided an outstanding Catholic education for students across the western suburbs. The vision of 741 “founding families” in partnership with the Diocese of Joliet, the Institute of the De La Salle Christian Brothers, Wheaton Franciscan Sisters, and Sisters from the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM) that began in 1957 is alive and well today!

INITIATIVES:

  • Deepen and expand our Catholic mission through expanded faith enrichment and formation opportunities across all aspects of the school
  • Establish formal academic partnerships that strengthen and distinguish curricular offerings
  • Expand Counseling services in academic, college, and social/emotional counseling
  • Ensure learning spaces meet 21st century learning needs
  • Enhance career opportunities and growth for faculty and staff through exceptional professional development, recognition, and compensation

INVEST IN OUR CAMPUS & ENVIRONMENT

Create a physical campus, facilities, and technology infrastructure that enable and strengthen our curricular and co-curricular programs and advance our mission.

INITIATIVES:

  • Create a Campus Master Plan that will inform all future campus and building growth and expansion
  • Develop a long-term Technology Plan to support 21st century learning and workforce needs
  • Conduct a Capital campaign in support of building expansion and upgrades

ENSURE CONTINUING FINANCIAL STRENGTH

Build a strong financial base that will ensure the school is well positioned to meet long-term needs.

INITIATIVES:

  • Build the Endowment to ensure long-term financial strength and stability
  • Substantially increase fully funded scholarships—both need and merit-based
  • Develop new partnerships with foundations, corporations, and other grant making organizations
  • Expand donor instruments through methods that benefit donors and the school

EXPAND OUR COMMUNITY

Engage and support our alumni, and foster stronger relationships with the broader community that cultivate trust, respect, and loyalty among both present and future Spartans.

  • Create expanded opportunities for alumni to engage with SFHS and each other
