In a world of constant technological innovation and advancement, St. Francis High School’s Technology Department helps ensure that learning happens far beyond the classroom walls. Through the use of the Microsoft 365 Suite and the integration of mySFHS, our students can learn from anywhere and at any time with their Microsoft Surface Pro device.
Microsoft Showcase School – 8 Years in a Row!
Microsoft Showcase Schools are a global community of schools engaged in digital transformation to improve teaching and learning. Showcase Schools create immersive and inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning and stimulate development of essential life skills, so students are empowered to achieve more. Microsoft Showcase Schools emphasize personalized learning for their students through the use of 1:1 learning devices and learning with current technology such as Microsoft Teams, Office 365 education, OneNote and more. Schools awarded with Microsoft Showcase School status excel in six areas: vision and thought leadership, a culture of learning and growth, personalized learning and inclusion, future-ready skills, data driving decision making, and a Microsoft solutions impact.
Our partnership with Microsoft is very strong and as one of 37 Microsoft Showcase schools United States, we are the premier program in the Midwest and have hosted 20 open houses for over 100 schools around the Chicagoland area who have visited our campus in the hopes of duplicating our success. Our teachers and staff present at conferences, and we currently have 11 faculty members who are also Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts (MIEEs); recognized individually for how they have effectively integrated technology (with an emphasis on the Microsoft Tools) into their classroom.
