A ribbon cutting and blessing of the Loughman Family Tennis Center was held at St. Francis High School on Monday, August 7, with Board Directors, faculty, staff, and coaches, and current parents in attendance.
Dan and Julie Loughman, parents of Emily '14, Caroline '16, and Will '24, made a $400,000 naming gift toward the new SFHS tennis court facility, replacing the existing courts. The project includes a new court surface, a new fence, windscreens, and signage.
After brief remarks from SFHS President Phil Kerr and Julie Loughman, Fr. Jim Murphy conducted a blessing of the courts.
“We are proud to be here today as the new tennis center is opened to the school community,” Mrs. Loughman said. “With this gift, we hope to enrich learning experiences for our Spartans, support our P.E. program and tennis teams, and enhance St. Francis’ reputation as a premier high school.”
The SFHS community thanks the Loughman family for their generous naming gift! Go, Spartans!
