The next highlight involves a new record made this year at the Grammys. Beyoncé set the record for most Grammy awards won. Throughout the years, she has won a total of 32 Grammys, 4 of which were won this year. She has taken the record from George Solti, who has won 31 Grammy Awards. Beyoncé gave her speech and expressed immense gratitude for her family.
Beyoncé was not the only one with a big victory this year; Viola Davis became an EGOT winner this year. This means she has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award. The group of people who have become EGOT winners is a small total of 18 people, which include John Legend and Rita Moreno.
There was a special guest this year at the Grammys who introduced the winner for best song. First Lady Jill Biden announced this year that Bonnie Raitt won the award for her song, "Just like That."
